Falcone Piano Co. was founded in Woburn, Massachusetts by Santi Falcone in 1980. Originally from Sicily, Falcone came to the United States at the age of fourteen and began tuning pianos at sixteen. Troubled by the inferior, mass-produced character of most pianos of the day and the incredibly high price of high quality pianos, he set out to build an instrument that was the highest caliber and affordability. Falcone’s factory was initially located in Woburn, Massachusetts, but shortly after moved the factory to Haverhill, Massachusetts where the most state-of-the-art equipment and manufacturing techniques were all incorporated into the piano. This is really where Falcone Pianos gained stature and much of the notoriety it has today. The basis of the Falcone Pianos design started with an oversized maple inner and outer rim. This gave the piano the utmost stability – Falcone was aware that any instability in the piano would result in the loss of crown in the sounding board – So he wanted to insure that all the Falcone Pianos would sound and perform great for years to come.

Today, a 21-ply inner and a 12-ply outer rim (Birch and Maple)
To make his piano designs as good as they could be, Falcone borrowed from many of the famous European designs. To achieve the best sounding pianos, German components were used and of course are still used today.
- Strings by Roslau
- Hammers by Abel
- Cireasa Sounding Board (208 to 278 model)
- Maple/Hornbeam action parts

Sand cast plates, which alleviate many unwanted overtones though more expensive to produce, are exclusively used in all Falcone pianos.
Eventually, Falcone merged the company with another of the worlds top manufacturers, Mason and Hamlin Piano Company, also of Haverhill, Massachusetts. With the added expertise of another of the worlds finest piano makers, the pianos improved even further.
Today, inspired by Santi Falcone’s commitment to craftsmanship and quality, the Falcone Piano Company strives to uphold the quality and standards of the prestigious Falcone piano line known through out the world, that will compliment the décor and bring enjoyment to any home, studio, or concert hall.
