1885 was a momentous year for Schimmel. In May of this year, Wilhelm Schimmel built his first piano. Inspired by a pioneer spirit and a single minded perseverance, his maxims were always oriented to the expectations of his customers. May Berlin Upright Pianos made by Schimmel are manufactured according to craftsmanship traditions, which have been passed down through the generations – with great care to detail. Each May Berlin Upright uses highly chosen material from the Hard Maple Rim, German Roslau Strings, and the Finest Spruce for the Sounding Boards.
All finishing of the piano and regulation is done at the Schimmel Factory in Braunschweig, Germany.
May Berlin by Schimmel guarantees the European Tonal Culture and Craftsmanship.
